The Songs of Tom Smith

The Songs of Tom Smith is a recording and performance project created in 2012 with a large pool of musicians across Australia and Europe. Tom is very lucky to be able to play and record with various pick up bands and is known for his prolific song writing and recording.
Tom’s modus operandi is to create a set of songs for a character, create a show and costume around them and then release an album of the songs. Some recent characters include the Rock N Roll Rooster (Mock Cock Rock) and The Dodgey Bodgey (Doo-Wop Rockabilly Salesman).
Tom has released over 40 albums since 1994 with Adelaide bands such as The Moonies, The Old Timers, The Pussys, Dream Wake Dream and since moving to Brisbane in 2001 with acts The Weary Drivers, Handbag, The Old Order, Brother Man Dude, The New Middle Class and The Songs of Tom Smith.
