Tylea

With a creative career spanning more than three decades, Tylea is a vocalist, songwriter, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, recording artist and visual artist whose practice moves fluidly between music, performance, video making, and illustration. Growing up in regional Queensland, Tylea found her way into Brisbane’s independent music community in the early 1990s, quietly becoming part of the city’s vibrant independent music scene and national independent touring circuit. Through this work, Tylea has developed a distinctive creative identity defined by experimentation, lyrical imagination and a DIY approach to making and releasing music.
