Welcome to Protis Reviews. My name is Alan, and for an hour each week I will be showcasing the hottest releases from local artists in the Brisbane music scene, as well as those from interstate and overseas. I have been writing reviews of studio releases, be they singles or EPs, since June of 2024. I started reviewing live performances in September of 2024, and have been enjoying these immensely! My aim for this show is to see how it works in a radio format.
This week on "Protis Reviews" features an interview with Brisbane electro synth-pop artist Tessa Wilde and her partner Finn. Tessa is embarking on her first international festival appearance in the USA in April this year, while Finn is a rapper who goes by the stage name Y.V. Alan last saw them at a gig at The Cave Inn in Woollongabba in October 2025, and it's great to catch up with them again as they drop by for a chat.
