Welcome to Protis Reviews. My name is Alan, and for an hour each week I will be showcasing the hottest releases from local artists in the Brisbane music scene, as well as those from interstate and overseas. I have been writing reviews of studio releases, be they singles or EPs, since June of 2024. I started reviewing live performances in September of 2024, and have been enjoying these immensely! My aim for this show is to see how it works in a radio format.
This week on "Protis Reviews" continues on from my previous episode about BIGOUND. Francesca De Valence, the founder of I Heart Songwriting Club, hosted this unique event on the second and third mornings of BIGSOUND in 2024. It brought together twelve singer-songwriters from all over Australia, who have also been members of I Heart Songwriting Club. Each artist showcased several of their songs at this event, and these same artists will be featured here.
