4zzz’s Eliot Rifkin chatted with Karen Hughes, an Associate Professor in Indigenous Studies and expert in Ngarrindjeri history, affiliated with Swinburne University in Victoria. Dr Hughes has been researching the life of David Unaipon, the celebrated Indigenous Australian.

Here's a link to David Unaipon's ‘Legendary Tales of the Australian Aborigines’, the 1st book-length manuscript published by an Aboriginal Australian author and the story behind it. It was initially published under the name William Ramsay Smith which was an act of literary theft.
