A Very Naughty Christmas
A VERY NAUGHTY CHRISTMAS by Woodward Productions
La Boite Theatre, Brisbane and The Star Casino, Broadbeach.
Nov 28th-Dec 8th 2024
Dr Gemma Regan
Fun, frolics, and fetishes from the jolly Saint Knickerless!
Have you been naughty or nice this year? Santa invites all adults from either list to join him for a saucy sleigh ride to tinsel-town. With pink-cheeked elves (both ends) and his hilarious helpers, he has an early gift of a raucous naughty night for all who attend.
It’s 80 minutes of fun, frolics, and fetishes from Santa and his helpers—just watch out for his candy cane! The burlesque seasonal entertainment includes saucy songs, hysterical wordplay, and a behind-the-scenes glimpse of what really happens in Saint Nick's workshop.
Woodward Productions Creator and Executive Producer Alex Woodward has two decades of entertaining Queenslanders with a vision to push creative boundaries and innovate. Their massive successes include the brilliant Sherlock Holmes- The Mystery of the Valkyrie and the sinister Woman in Black. With the adult-only show of A Very Naughty Christmas in its eighth year, Woodward and Co-creator Daniel Vent have succeeded in producing a unique brand of seasonal entertainment, conjuring up old-time music halls and British panto with a busty burlesque bent.
Three-time Matilda Award winner Steve Rooke is the salacious Santa Claus, more suited to driving a white ute than a sleigh. He prides himself on punishing naughty children more than Queensland Premier David Crisafulli as he regales the audience with songs and tales of his travels and his penchant for the naughty side of life, including a cheeky finale.
His titillating team are returning cast members to the LaBoite theatre: Daniel Erbacher (Rocky Horror Picture Show), Aurélie Roque (Rent); Taylah Ferguson (Palazzo Mannheim) and Emily Kristopher (Crackermilk); Anthony Craig and Lauren Jimmieson (Elvis: A Musical Revolution) and Lachlan Greenland (Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines).
Each provides their own unique skill, from Broadway-style singing to decadent Follies-styled dances. Accompanying the seasonal songs is a live three-piece band that guarantees you will enjoy a Christmas musical feast without a sleigh bell in sight.
There are brilliant seasonal one-liners, sexy skits, and flirtatious flings, and audience participation is encouraged. If you have a hankering to hear the naughty lyrics to every Christmas carol, this is a show not to be missed! A highlight is the fan-dancing finale and japes from the jolly Saint Knickerless!
So get on your sparkly glad rags and grab your friends for a brilliant holiday-themed night out, celebrating all that can be naughty for Christmas!
