What are greyhounds? Did you know these sighthounds were bred for hunting and racing? Greyhounds are known for their speed, but do you know how long there has been greyhound racing in Australia?
Many confuse the three, however there are differences between the greyhound, Italian Greyhound and the whippet.
'Friends of the Hound' is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit Greyhound rescue. Their website has information on adopting or fostering these gentle low-maintenance dogs.
The Coalition for the Protection of Greyhounds is committed to exposing the cruelty of greyhound racing and lobbying state governments to close the industry down. Find out more on their website on how to get involved.
